My Bio

I'm a mom of five energizer bunnies, tasked with the full time job of keeping the house clean while they keep going, and going, and going....you get the idea!

I went to photography school, art school, and college; and graduated too! I love to create, and my biggest hobby is collecting unfinished art projects!! I dabble in all forms of media, even crayon! Lately, I have been teaching myself how to sculpt with polymer clay, paint in Corel Painter, create 3D renderings using Vue, 3D modeling using Daz and Blender, tinkering in Unreal Engine for game development, as well as how to draw facial expressions and cartoons. But I still find painting with acrylics and watercolor relaxing (oils are dangerous in our house).

If you have any tips, helpful hints, or constructive criticism, please share! I can only teach myself so much, and learning makes us better!

You can find my Tardis painting, as well as some of my other photos as a wallpaper for your phone on Zedge I am "oddpinkcupcake" on there.

I'm on instagram! www.instagram.com/oddpinkcupca…

Come find me on Artstation if you're there too! https://www.artstation.com/cjsmiles

For the record, I do have an old Artstation page: https://www.artstation.com/springberry

But it's not going to be updated. It's just there. Being awkward.

Well, to say the past couple of years have been "interesting" would be an understatement, and I know everyone shares that sentiment for this past year at least! We have actually moved into our house! Then we had to do major work on the roof and foundation of said house, but it's fixed now! Then we thought my husband's job was going to move us out of state (yes, after all that work) but after months of uncertainty and packing that ended up not working out. Much to our children's, friends, and families relief! So were still settling into our "new" house, and life just hasn't stopped handing us crazy cards yet! Anyway, I have enough time to really get back into my art after an unplanned/ slightly forced hiatus! YAY! I had gotten Corel Painter last year, but with all of the crazy I haven't had time to use it until now. In short, I love it! I use mostly one brush for the bulk of my painting and maybe three others for various details! Which is nice! I'm looking forward to a more art

Hello peeps! It's been a LONG time! A lot has happened, a lot of bad, but a lot of good too! Still trying to wade through this hazy maze of life, with all sorts of calamity happening around me. But, there have been so many blessings! Too many to count! I'm learning to trust in the Lord so much more than I ever thought I would, putting one foot in front of the other, one step at a time. It's humbling knowing that the strength you have comes from God, it makes the weight bearable, not gone, not painless, but do-able. I can do all things though Him who gives me strength. When we bought our house, and discovered we had to take it down to the stud

Did we get moved in by new years? No, heavens why did I think we could be done by then? BUT all the sheetrock is up, the lights and outlets all work, the upstairs has been mudded and textured and is prepped for painting, the downstairs is 90% mudded and 40% ready for texture, AAAANNNNDDD we have a date for the flooring work to begin at the end of the month! Actually looks like we will be done and moved in by March! We can actually see the light at the end of the tunnel, and IT ISN'T AN ONCOMING TRAIN!!! WOOO! After a full year we are finally getting close to finishing the house! 2017 was one knockdown drag-out year, Good riddance! In my last
